Performance Technologies Sponsors Imagine RIT Innovation and Creativity Festival

Performance Technologies is proud to be one of the many sponsors for the first annual Imagine RIT Innovation and Creativity Festival held at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

The festival featured over 400 interactive exhibits and displays with topics ranging from new product and services, research and design, and both creative and performing arts. The event on May 3, 2008 was a tremendous success. Bill Destler, President of RIT, summed up the event by stating, “I was so proud of both the great turnout for the event and of the quality of creative and innovative work displayed by our faculty, staff, and students.”

Performance Technologies' sponsorship award funded the exhibit Implementation of Elliptic Curve Scalar Multiplication on Hybrid FPGAs created by Glen Ramsey. "We value the innovative spirit at RIT that enables us to tap into the wealth of quality engineering talent produced by this fine institution," said Performance Technologies President and CEO John Slusser. "We have partnered with RIT for years in helping their students understand trends in embedded solutions and at the same time, we gain insights into useful developments in technology from RIT to help us advance our solutions. It's a great win-win partnership for us, for the students, for RIT, and for the greater Rochester community."
